Additional Description: STARBRIGHT, is a three bedroom, two bath, professionally decorated and furnished home that will accommodate 8 people. The master bedroom has a king-size bed and the master bath is divided with a large closet opposite the vanity. The bay-side bedroom has a queen-size bed, the sofa bed is queen-size and the 3rd bedroom has a full-size bed. All the linens are furnished and the kitchen is completely equipped with cookware and dinner service. This is a large home with easy to clean tile floors in the common areas. There are six ceiling fans with remote controls, TV's in the master, the bay-side bedroom, and living room, plus DVD, CD, cassette and stereo. We have paved parking underneath the house with space for four vehicles. There is an outdoor shower near a stairway leading up to the main indoor bath.Our home is on a narrow strip of land with a view of the Gulf from one deck and a view of St. Joseph%u2019s Bay from the other deck. The beach can be accessed via two boardwalks, approximately 200 yards away. The golfing, fishing, swimming, kayaking and snorkeling in the area are excellent. For shopping, Port St. Joe is less than ten miles away and Apalachicola is 23 miles. Activities Golfing, Kayaking, Swimming, Antiquing, Cycling, Fishing, Deep Sea fishing, Freshwater Fishing, Horseback Riding, Jet Skiing, Sailing, Scuba Diving, Sight Seeing, Snorkeling, Sound/Bay Fishing, Surf Fishing, Walking, Water Skiing, and Water Tubing are a few of the local activities! St. Joseph Bay offers excellent snorkeling as well as line fishing, crabbing and scalloping. You can rent ocean kayaks at Scallop Cove or Happy Ours (both on Cape San Blas) and explore the grass flats of the Bay, go scalloping or enjoy the beautiful views. You can paddle for miles in less than 2 feet of water. You may find bay scallops, sting ray, dolphin, fiddler crabs, horseshoe crabs, star fish or octopi, among others. St. Joseph Peninsula State Park is a 2,516-acre park located at the end of the Cape. There you will find miles of white sand beaches, striking dune formations, a forested interior and a favorite climate for year-round outdoor recreation. The park's sandpipe scrub, pine flatwoods and dunes provide a refuge for more than 200 species of birds, including bald eagles, ospreys and endangered peregrine falcons. St. Vincent Wildlife Preserve is an undeveloped barrier island just offshore from the mouth of the Apalachicola River, in the Gulf of Mexico. The refuge is managed to preserve, in as natural a state as possible, its highly varied plant and animal communities.The island is a haven for endangered and threatened species, including bald eagles, sea turtles, indigo snakes, and gopher tortoises. Wood storks use the refuge during their migration. In addition, the refuge serves as a breeding area for endangered red wolves.
